ABOUT ME
I graduated in commercial economics from the Amsterdam School of Business and I obtained my law degree at the University of Amsterdam. After having worked in the field of Human Resources for several years, I have been an employment law lawyer since 2008, with a particular interest in privacy in the workplace. In 2015, I completed the postgraduate specialization course in employment law at the Grotius Academy, with a cum laude result.
WHAT I DO
I assist both entrepreneurs and (expat) private persons with various employment law issues, such as with regard to drafting and assessing employment contracts, (unilateral) changes to employment conditions, (reorganization) dismissals, competition and relation clauses, flexible labor and assignment / consultancy agreements. From my sub-specialism, I also advise on work-related privacy aspects such as in relation to camera surveillance, incapacity for work, personnel administration, recruitment and selection and internet/email use.
WHY WORK WITH ME
I am a seasoned employment lawyer. My approach is characterized by making the connection between the legal and the practical, always with an eye for the human touch. As an entrepreneur, I fully understand the legal and strategic challenges a business can face. I identify possible bottlenecks and, where necessary, I help restore them which allows my client entrepreneurs to keep their focus on their core business. Because I also assist private persons, I am well acquainted with both sides of the chessboard.

I am a member of various Dutch employment law associations: the Employment Law Association of the Netherlands (VAAN), the Employment Law Association of Amsterdam (VAAA) and the Employment Law Association (VvA).
NICE TO KNOW
From 2013 to 2017, I volunteered for the Laluz Foundation, a foundation that pairs (legal) professionals with idealistic organizations to provide their knowledge.
From 2013 to 2020, I was editor of the Amsterdam Bar Bulletin, a publication of the Amsterdam Bar Association.
